Welcome to the Evidence! Site.

On these pages you can find manifestations of European culture in archival documents. The presentations are made by city archives and other local archives in 7 cities of culture for the year 2000. One part is dedicated to what is special for each city, another to the things we have in common as Europeans. In another part you can read about the participating archives, and in the introduction you can read more of our intentions and of the writers.

This project is supported by the European Commission - the Raphael Programme and the Organisation 2000 of most of the participating cities, as well as other local sources mentioned on the page of each city.
